Tumblr Song of the Day 3/22/13
It’s gonna be quickie today….
Don’t Look Back In Anger- Oasis.
I chose this because it’s a timeless Oasis classic, aside
from Wonderwall. And it so happens to be my favorite Oasis song. It sort
of has that Imagine-esque riff in the beginning, which could throw some
people off. I feel it’s one of their best songs ever written. I’m personally
not a huge huge Oasis fan, but their music is likeable.
4/5 star rating, I must give this song

Tumblr Song of the Day 3/20/13
Blink 182’s Dogs Eating Dogs.
Their newest EP Dogs Eating Dogs, has their self-titled
song. One of the best song’s I’ve heard from them. It’s fun, yet mature. Blink
has matured in their music and song writing skills since they broke up and
regrouped not too long ago. Compared to Neighborhoods, many people prefer Dogs
Eating Dogs, since it sort of reverts back to their natural selves. Neighborhoods,
was more experimental. Dogs Eating Dogs is the second track on the album.
Everybody who likes Blink 182 should check this song
out. The song has a pop-punk vibe to it,
which is Blink’s traditional style of music.
With it’s catchy chorus. “Dogs Eating Dogs…..” It’s probably the best
mature Blink song recently. Since their
just getting started, who knows what else Blink 182 is going to release next.
I rate this song a 4.5 out 5.

Tumblr Song of The Day 3/14/13
Today’s Song of The Day… is Runaway by The Big Cats.
Haha. The Big Cats. One of my favorite bands aside from
Green Day. The lead guitarist is Jason White.
The song itself is from the 40 song soundtrack to Towncraft, which is a
documentary based on the punk rock scene in Little Rock. I think this is one of my favorites from the
soundtrack to be quite honest.
The guitar riffs, are so amazing. Jason does an amazing job
of performing the riffs. It makes the song like every other Big Cats songs. And
the amazing Vocals by Burt Taggart and backing vocals are Jason.
I think everyone should give this song a listen.
Unfortunately it’s not on youtube, so I
purchased it on Itunes so it is on there, for anyone to give a brief listen to it.

Tumblr Song of The Day 3/12/13
Today’s Song of the Day:
Christie Road- Green Day
Well, since Green Day’s back on the road traveling and performing; I’d want to do today’s song of the day a Green Day song. I chose it from one of the best albums to date: Kerplunk. I chose Christie Road as today’s song of the day.
I chose this song because it is my favorite off of Kerplunk! And one of my all-time favorite Green Day song.
This song dates back to 1991-1992 ish era Green Day right before Dookie was released and this is 4th song on Kerplunk! All the Green Day fans should acknowledge this song. Most people can also relate to this song as well.
“Give me something to do to kill some time
Take me to that place that I call home
Take away the strains of being lonely
Take me to the tracks at Christie Road”
This was about a street near where Billie Joe and Mike Dirnt grew up at….

Tumblr Song of The Day 3/8/13
La La Love- Ivi Adamou.
Cover by Jocelyn Scofield.
This is Cyprus’ Eurovision 2012 entry song. It fared ok compared to the songs that were
in the top 10. I think this is one of
Cyprus’ best entry to date. Its catchy upbeat tune and rhythm and vibe to the
song makes it a special song. “Oh I feel the energy between you and me” . That
quote describes the positivity of this song. The chorus is very catchy as well
as a good sing along.
With this cover version, it’s a toned down piano acoustic
version of this song. So there’s no electronic instruments used. Only piano and
vocals, that I know of.
Both versions are good singalongs, if you choose to sing
along.
I rate the original song 4/5 and this version also a 4/5.
here's the link to the song. Sorry no Youtube vid this time :(

Tumblr Song of The Day 3/6/13
As popular on GDC's blog Tumblr song of the day will be (will try to be) posted often as i can remember.
it'll be on alternating days as the GDCs blog... so HERE WE GO
Today's Song of the Day is Evanescence's Bring Me to Life (Dubstep Remix.) It's a remix that I have found on Youtube, when I was scrolling for Evanescence remixes. It's one of those remixes that you either love it or hate it. I find it to be quite exciting.
In the beginning it has this echo of Amy singing the opening verse. Then the voice un-echos and becomes louder in volume. And then the beat comes in and the Dubstep elements becomes evident in the song. since it is a remix it is quite lengthy. Approximately 6 and half minutes long, as normal dance-y remixes are.
On a note, If you love dubstep and Evanescence, you will probably enjoy as is. But if you dislike one of them (usually dubstep), you'll end up hating it. It has that love/hate relationship where if you like one and dislike the other, chances are you'll either hate it or become disappointed in the remix. Everybody should know, remixes aren't for everybody, so as I am weary of some remixes myself and hating (or strongly disliking) the remix, but loves other remixes of the song.
Credit to the youtube user Jansen Jorgensen for this remix of BMTL.
I rate this remix a 4.5 stars out of five. or 9 out of 10.
it's a Great listen, for Dubstep and Evanescence fans alike.
